The 15-Day Payment Rule
Under the MGNREGA Act (and applicable to VB-G RAM G), workers must be paid within 15 days from the date the muster roll is closed (work completion). If the payment is delayed beyond 15 days, workers are legally entitled to receive delay compensation.
How Compensation is Calculated
- The first 15 days after work completion are the legal processing window (No compensation).
- For every day delayed after the 15th day, compensation is payable at a rate of 0.05% of the unpaid wages per day.
